Thank you for your interest in becoming a Leisure Enrichment instructor. Through collaboration with community partners and instructors, the City of Sacramento’s Youth, Parks, & Community Enrichment Department offers a variety of recreation programs and activities. Our Leisure Enrichment program aims to bring in experienced subject-matter experts to help complement and diversify existing programs. 

Leisure Enrichment Overview

• Instructors receive 65% of the registration fees collected 
• Instructor applications that pass department review and are accepted will be required to provide the following: 

1. Active business operations tax certificate
2. W9 and CA 590 forms
3. General liability insurance - including SAM coverage (for youth classes)
4. Workers' compensation insurance (applicable if you have employees)
5. Proof of TB test for all subcontractors and/or employees (for youth classes)

All instructors, subcontractors, employees, and volunteers working under a Leisure Enrichment contract will be required to be fingerprinted, complete a background questionnaire, and complete mandated reporter training.
